About The Project
Project Details
The fundamental objective of the presented project is to standardize the passive sampling of contaminants and microplastics in humans via the use of non-elinvasive samplers. The project's goals of having a significant socioeconomic impact and creating competitive advantages connected to environmental health are directly in line with each other. Its economic impact is significant since it aims to improve the controls, laws, customs, and ways of life that lessen exposure to environmental toxins, so preventing disease and encouraging healthy cities. The project being presented aims to create and assess effective and cheap passive samplers for the detection of microplastics and questionable substances. Better information and understanding of the processes causing anthropogenic contamination will result from their standardization and monitoring evaluation under the "roof" of citizen science, providing the tools needed to create a cleaner, greener, and healthier society. Through cutting-edge analytical research, the studies that will be carried out will also provide information on new or pertinent compounds of concern. It is expected that the produced research will allow to discover they are there and make more regular monitoring plans easier.
