About

Since 2025, Adrián has been a predoctoral researcher at the University of Almería funded by a predoctoral fellowship from the Andalusian government. He develops advanced analytical methods for the detection of pesticide residues and microplastics in food and environmental samples. His work focuses on sustainable and high-sensitivity techniques, including hydrophilic interaction liquid chromatography (HILIC) and reverse-phase liquid chromatography, all coupled to tandem and high-resolution mass spectrometry. Adrián has hands-on experience with environmental sample preparation, including solid-phase extraction and micro-extraction techniques. He has contributed to international projects such as INSIGNIA-EU and his expertise spans both targeted and untargeted approaches for contaminant and metabolomic analysis.
