Harshit Sahai is a postdoctoral researcher in Environmental Analytical Chemistry at the University of Almería and EEZA-CSIC. His research focuses on the detection, characterization, and environmental fate of micro- and nanoplastics, tire wear particles, and their associated chemical contaminants in food and environmental matrices. He develops advanced analytical methods using chromatography-mass spectrometry, pyrolysis-GC-MS, and FTIR spectroscopy for polymer identification and quantification. He is also involved in metabolomics approaches to understand plant-pollutant interactions.
