About

María Dolores Hernando Guil, Research Professor at the Experimental Station of Arid Zones – CSIC. Expert in environmental and analytical chemistry, specializing in the development of protocols to assess exposure to PBTs (persistent, bioaccumulable and toxic chemicals), emerging contaminants MNPs and additives, including studies on their fate, behavior and accumulation, to characterize environmental pollution and human health risks. She has coordinated 3 national projects involving from 2 to 9 public entities and PI in 3 european projects under FP7, and HORIZON 2020 programs. She has participated in 10 national projects and in 3 european projects from the FP5 and FP6 framework programs, 1 EU-Latin America cooperation project EUROLANTRAP and in the Cost Action 636. She has participated in 2 Integrated Action Programs with France and Greece. To date, she is a co-author of more tan 100 scientific articles in JCR journals in the categories of Chemistry and Environment, with an h-index: 46. She was the Head of the National Reference Center for the implementation of the European REACH Regulation on the registration, evaluation, authorization and restriction of substances and chemical preparations and of the Global Harmonized System of Classification (2007-2009) and of the National Reference Center on Persistent Organic Pollutants, in application of the Stockholm Convention of the United Nations (2007-2011).
