PhD in Analytical Chemistry by the University of Almería (2011). Dr. Martínez Bueno has participated in 20 national and international research projects, including 9 funded under the Spanish National R&D Plan, 6 by the Regional Government of Andalusia, and 5 by European programmes. She has demonstrated strong scientific leadership, serving as Principal Investigator in 3 European, 4 national, and 2 regional projects. To date, she has co-supervised five doctoral theses. In 2021, she was awarded the Young Researcher Career Award in Science from the Social Council of the UAL. She is co-author of over 60 scientific publications, all focused on the development and validation of analytical methodologies based on the application of latest-generation analytical techniques for the identification and evaluation of organic contaminants (polymers, microplastics, pesticides, pharmaceuticals or personal care products) for environmental and food safety/quality control.
